Musicians United for Superior Education, Inc. (MUSE) has been bringing professional artists together with Buffalo area children since 1990. Artists, teachers and parents committed to encouraging school kids to participate actively in music founded MUSE. MUSE programs get kids moving, drumming and dancing. These activities strengthen their bodies and, as part of the process, they learn about diverse cultures, thus fostering cultural vitality in our community. The primary objective is to help children develop fundamental personal, social, leadership, academic and artistic skills.

MUSE teaching artists are among the region’s top performers. The program surpasses the New York State Standards for music and dance education. Teaching artists share their professional experience and belief in the power of music and movement with the children.
